and Rain.

Bare feet conjoined with grass….soaked soil
Things are cool this way
The Sun is rising, so I’ve come to sit at your roots
On my knees in need of a hug
Embracing this hard body….a stiff body
Wishing you could hold me in a way I am familiar with
The way humans embrace
But the Earth would follow
It’s too early for a scene
So I stay planted
Bathing in the serene
I climb in your arms seeking adventure
Witnessing a view oozing honesty
This view cannot be altered
This view introduces something new
And as the rain decends…my locs absorb
Expanding my beauty, feeling the weight of my crown
My breathing cycle is uninterrupted
Deeply and fully inhaling
Exhaling corruption
This feeling is rebirth, regaining lost knowledge
I prepare to learn more in this life than the previous
No need to return
Climbing higher into your arms
I am introduced to a presense I couldn’t comprehend:
A beautiful boa
“I know you’ve been doubting yourself.”
She says
“So lets go!”
Telling me she’ll listen without interference….
As she slithers up the thick center, I follow
Finding my element in the canopy
My true beautiful self
Hearing the Earth speak
Is this what it is…to just be?
What is no longer needed, no longer clings
Clearing my conscious to hear only my breath
and rain.

Words have developed a world of their own.I write to find inner-standing in myself as well as the world. Through poetry it is natural to express my feelings.
